Centenary Players Photo and Special Match Day!

As part of our Centenary celebrations, we will be holding a special photo and match day on 5th October.

A group photo of current and ex WHFC senior players will be taken at 11:30am, followed by several special matches to mark the occasion.

All current and ex-WHFC senior players are encouraged to be part of this moment in time!

The event will be as follows:

10:00am – chairs and benches set out in front of centre pitch goal – feel free to come and help!

10:30am – current team skippers to bring existing team kits to swap for new centenary kits.

10:45am – current players arrive and change into full kit. Changing room capacity means that you MUST take your clothes and valuables outside with you. These can be placed on the centre pitch, MUGA side, out of camera shot. Keep your valuables with you.

11:00am – ex players arrive. Feel free to wear a Club tie, an old WHFC shirt, or just your civvies.

11:15am – current players in position in the centre of the shot. We will arrange 4/5 tiered rows.

11:20am – ex players in position, on the outer edges of the current players.

11:30am – photo taken. Please note that we will not wait for latecomers.

The photo session will be followed by:

12 Noon – an ex WHFC 1st XI v AFA All Stars game, and a WHFC v Latymer old Boys Vets game. Bottom and top pitches.

2pm – WHFC 1st XI v Alleyn Old Boys (SAL League match). AOB were our first opponents in the SAL when we joined in 1928 (we played in the SOL prior to that). The result that day was 5-1 to The Hill – let’s hope for a similar result!
We will present Alleyn with a WHFC pennant to mark the occasion.
Please make our special visitors welcome!

In addition to the above, Brighton v Spurs will be on TV in the bar from 12:30pm.

See you there!
